From the recording Help Thyself

This song almost didn't make the album as i originally did not like the music. The string arrangement made me stick with it. Its now one of my favorites on the album. second verse originally written for Gold Meadows (an incredible artist)
My Niece and nephew are in the background can you hear them?
Inspired by Jeremiah 29:11 and Kaiya Dowtin

Lyrics

Verse
12:04 in the morning and im up
brainstorming about what to do next
a little frustrated seems im always praying
for a very big flex

Pre-Hook
God Said, What are you waiting for
I gave you the tools and more
go and get them off the shelf
dust them off, heed the plan, grab your bag and

Hook
Go Help thyself

Verse 2
Had to move across the country, Short notice
It was shocking to my family
Hesitated, contemplating, wondering
if there can be an alternative

Pre-Hook

Hook

Spoken
There's a season for everything
and things always change, thats what they say
yeah it was a bit uncomfortable but
it was necessary for me to grow
It was people who had to go
really close ones, you know what im saying
if you know you know
God knows his plans for us
even gave us the tools to make it happen
So help thyself
